Barbarella Grroove

Barbarella with the sound off; in its place was D'Angelo's Feel Like Makin' Love on repeat throughout the entire film.

Why? I've really been digging that song. Hearing it on a loop is where I'm at. I like it. It feels good. So on and on it goes. So much so that it outweighed whatever audio was going to come out of the television. Barbarella, I had not yet seen, but heard of. I was keen to check it out.

It's a fun movie.

So is the good-good groove of that song.

Ate some fish sticks as well.

[NOTE: Thank you so very much Turner Classic Movies for not showing commercials during your films.]

Such a Bitch

Probably the quickest "song" I've come across. Hit that "C" and sing, sang, song. Nothing duper recording though, recorded straight to my mp3 player to log the idea. More of a song bit though, aye? Those in-betweener stuff you see in albums, filler, that takes you from one full song to the other. Skits are fun. Do you think it'll make us more attractive to the ladies? Maybe I ought to be getting ready. Skits have a role, yes, and with my fondness for the drone stuff on 89.7 KFJC this is first drone I've stuck to and went alrighty. "Hello angst. Yuppo you're in there. So Waarrrrriooors come out tooo plaaaaayaaay!"

Uh huh here we go. No set lyrics for this one yo. Listen and catch all the little references if you can. It's like Pokemon in song form, peoples. Dun-dun, dun dun!! =) So go on then, an enjoy bitch.

Shout for a Knock

From one side of the world to the other

Into the tunnel. WOOOSHH!!! The change swooped instant-in, kicking out the cool and ease of the remnant Stateside air that was kept in the plane, uppercutting it aside, replacing it with closer-to-the-equator heat. It's a sudden dump into steaming soup. The warmth sticks itself onto every surface with a scratch, scratching out an aroma that lets you know -- uh-huh yeah -- that plastic, glass and metal airport is getting cooked. Bags in hand and stepping through that tunnel I say with familiarity, "Ahhhhhh the Philippines."

Flight time: 13 hours. It's pretty nifty, you know? You'd think a baker's dozen of hours on your ass would be a chore -- admittedly, 275 powerfat pounds on mine was . . . a sore -- but the modern in-flight entertainment system is good carnival fun. No longer are the movies restricted to specific times and on the big screen up front. There were a vast array of films in multiple genres that you could watch at a whim on the screen in front of you. Touchscreen controls. Pause, play. Rewind. I want to see that funny line again. Month-old Hollywood blockbusters were available along with a few Filipino flicks. I watched Fast and Furious and the new Pirates movie. Saw bit parts of The Dark Knight. For dinner? Beef Stroganoff. No adobo tonight. For breakfast was a dish the flight attendant simply referred to as "American": a plate of scrambled eggs, hash browns and a giant chunk of ham. Had they served that ham at the beginning of the flight instead of the end I would have used it to cushion my butt.

On the afternoon of the day my flight she dropped by with a smile, her dog, and a knock on the door. It was a treat to see her, oh yes! Throughout the flight my mind was occupied by the thought of her. My seat was just ahead of the wing. Look out, boy! Framed by the window was a view of the engines pointing out towards NAIA Airport, shooting through the night above plentiful clouds that scattered the below looking like icebergs floating on a vast unknown. If I shouted her name toward the engine it would rush into the jet along with a piece of the sky and shoot out the back in a glorious high altitude roar over the ocean all the way back to East Side. She hasn't heard me before. I wonder if she would hear that.

Beachside for Bed

I hope this doesn't turn out like the end of La Strada. Replace that beachside for a bed. Zampanò was a fool; the real clown.

Bitters Into Popcorn

"Comedy is good. Comedy helps flip those lesser bitters into buttery-yum-buttery popcorn. Enjoy." =P =D
Ooh what bitters of whose bitters?

Fortune Hunter of the COWON S9 Charge Cable

Woohoo! I just found the charge cable for my COWON S9 mp3 player! Woohoo! That sonofa-cuntgun was buried deep in a drawer that isn't its usual location. The charge cable must be trying to escape the COWON S9, no longer wanting songs running through its insides and electricity jolting it to charge its Big Brother.

I found ya, you proprietary USB bastard!!!

Honestly & Sincerely Miss K (a.k.a. She Who Scans)

The following is a (as of this post) just sent Facebook message to Miss K:

Hello Miss K! =)

It's Justin here.

I stand humbled.

Honesty and sincerity is something I like to adhere to. I find that with these two characteristics it's easier to go on in life without wasting energy on whisper games and hidden meanings; to keep up with such social unnecessities can make a person question the steps they take all because they would not begin with truth.

Baloo the bear sang a related sentiment in the Jungle Book tune, "Bare Necessities."

=)

Why do I write this to you, Miss K? In our very brief time together, our correspondence has been limited to just a few messages. A couple of those messages weren't responded to and I worry that perhaps you purposefully did not reply to those 2 messages for a very specific reason: I wrote some things that could have been considered too forward.

I could apologize but in all honesty what was written (just the words) was simply my own personal expression and reaction to what you had typed in your message - bits of your own life that I very much appreciate you having shared with me. And I thank you for that, it shows I'm not a complete stranger. Now, if the message that came across to you in those words somehow upset you . . .

for THAT, I sincerely apologize, Miss K.

I wish to only open up a friendly dialog with you.

Preferrably without a personal anxiety of worrying about stepping on your "mind toes."

=D

I wouldn't dare mess with you, Miss K. The word on the street is that you have brain-kaboom!-exploding powers like the dudes in the 1981 film Scanners!!

=O

[Justin convulses . . .]

Oh crap . . . I can feel it nooooow!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! ShieeeeeeeAAAGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

[ . . . KABLOOEY! goes Justin's head!!!!!]

=P =D

I really do hope to hear from you Miss K, for this message in particular. I can't be any more bare [necessity] to you then I am now. I also apologize for the bloody brain matter left scattered all over the place. Go easier on me next time, Supremely Powerful Scanner K. They don't make Ibuprofen strong enough to resist you. =P =D
