Up Eagle Rock, 27th of June
Wednesday, June 27, 2018

Shadow Hikers. Cousin and I at the start to the climb up Eagle Rock.
Only the beginning and we've already both lost our right arms, seemingly. Oh no!!😭 I keep saying it's the ALUM ROCK NINJAS hiding in the trees and the brush waiting to cut our big butts down, grrrr!!
(Nah... he's holding on to a bag and I, the camera.😜)
Dirt Squirrel. This little dude hovered around looking at me thinking I had some fish & chips to give. So sorry, my furry amigo. All I got is some green tea, bud.
Grass Squirrel. Then dirt squirrel's primo stared me down thinking why I didn't give his homeboy any leftovers. Look at him: this one's 'bout ready to scrap, frickin' rodent gang banger!! Ese, they got plenty of munchies at Capitol Flea Market.
Fox on a Tagged Parking Block. This, errrr...um... totally REAL FOX was run over on the ground right at the space of this parking block. See the tire marks? Yup, it's on BOTH the REAL fox and the block. So I placed the little dude up top like a king on his throne, ugh!! His misfortune now made his kingdom!😊😇
The Top of Eagle Rock. You can see this tower from way below at the start of the hike. From way down there to yes up here, made it!!
The Valley Seen from Eagle Rock. And here's the view looking out towards all of San Jose. Downtown is located just to the left of middle of the picture. Over to the right and under the sun you'll see the southernmost tip of the Bay sparkling in all that evening light!! Worth a hike up? Oh yes indeedy.👍

Eagle Rock from Below. Down back to where we started. Cousin and I hiked up over from the right side (east), topped it (red arrow), then back down the left side (west, facing the city). Funny thing is going up was chill, but when we went back down it was SOOOOOO short and comparatively EASY! Ahhh! Heheheh. I joked with cousin hiking back down was like taking a Super Mario Bros. warp pipe to the next world.
Oh by the way: Eat it, ALUM ROCK NINJAS! Not this time, muahaha! Your ambush tactics are no match for my skills with the sword!😋

Park Entryway. New! New!! New!!!
Certainly this blog's previous "pointing a gun to my head" theme splashed upon your welcome was not something you'd buy your kids a yeah-yeah, gimme-gimme season pass to. Here's the new gate now for insta-joy pour vous but don't get too giddy! The rides are the same. Though the benches are sturdy and plentiful. And yes, the corn dogs still rock.

I spanked this photoshop bloomer this morning while listening to The Luyas. It's garbage day. The sun is finally out. I can see it peeking through my heavy orange curtain.
Lastly, I got tired of seeing myself shoot myself every time I stopped by here. I have plenty of that kind of rubbish to deal with in my head. This blog is meant to rid of that unpleasantness, not cement it. I've been meaning to change the banner since late, late last year. It was good to get the mind chattering again and putting this together. So blog, there blog. I hope you like your new hat.
I need to get a ferris wheel in this place.
Ferris wheels are awesome.

Shout for a Knock
September, Monday-Tuesday 19/20, 2011

From one side of the world to the other
Into the tunnel. WOOOSHH!!! The change swooped instant-in, kicking out the cool and ease of the remnant Stateside air that was kept in the plane, uppercutting it aside, replacing it with closer-to-the-equator heat. It's a sudden dump into steaming soup. The warmth sticks itself onto every surface with a scratch, scratching out an aroma that lets you know -- uh-huh yeah -- that plastic, glass and metal airport is getting cooked. Bags in hand and stepping through that tunnel I say with familiarity, "Ahhhhhh the Philippines."
Flight time: 13 hours. It's pretty nifty, you know? You'd think a baker's dozen of hours on your ass would be a chore -- admittedly, 275 powerfat pounds on mine was . . . a sore -- but the modern in-flight entertainment system is good carnival fun. No longer are the movies restricted to specific times and on the big screen up front. There were a vast array of films in multiple genres that you could watch at a whim on the screen in front of you. Touchscreen controls. Pause, play. Rewind. I want to see that funny line again. Month-old Hollywood blockbusters were available along with a few Filipino flicks. I watched Fast and Furious and the new Pirates movie. Saw bit parts of The Dark Knight. For dinner? Beef Stroganoff. No adobo tonight. For breakfast was a dish the flight attendant simply referred to as "American": a plate of scrambled eggs, hash browns and a giant chunk of ham. Had they served that ham at the beginning of the flight instead of the end I would have used it to cushion my butt.
On the afternoon of the day my flight she dropped by with a smile, her dog, and a knock on the door. It was a treat to see her, oh yes! Throughout the flight my mind was occupied by the thought of her. My seat was just ahead of the wing. Look out, boy! Framed by the window was a view of the engines pointing out towards NAIA Airport, shooting through the night above plentiful clouds that scattered the below looking like icebergs floating on a vast unknown. If I shouted her name toward the engine it would rush into the jet along with a piece of the sky and shoot out the back in a glorious high altitude roar over the ocean all the way back to East Side. She hasn't heard me before. I wonder if she would hear that.

HC_Sadako

I received my Etsy-ordered hair clip in the mail today! Hey no funny looks, man! This dude's gotta keep his long hair in check! Regulate!! Hah! =P
Inspired by today's Woohoo package reception I went ahead and photoshopped a new self-portrait. It seems to be a cozy time to get-a-clickin' with the filters and layers again. When I load up the 'Shop and get in the zone 'tis a good feeling, it is! =)
Here, I present to you . . .

[sidenote: an assist goes to Nurseaporean for indirectly naming this self-portrait. "Sadako!" Bulaga!! =P ]

Keeper of the Sun
Hello. Welcome. =)
Today I have for you musical accompaniment to go along with your reading of this particular blog post.
Go on, press play. ;)
So the sun came out. =)
For in this blog is a complaint and in return by way of voodoo goobahdaroo . . . the skies cleared. Thank you.
Bye-bye a-hole clouds. You're not total assholes but ganging up on the sun like that? COME ON! Cheaters.
To honor this stupendous act of bitching and mother nature's response to said bitching I took a shot of the sun and I play for keeps. I play for keeps! The clouds will flex their muscles. They will roll their shoulders. They will mug the sun with all their vaporous aggression!
But on this day
the sun shines glorious!
And I am the
Keeper of the Sun

[sidenote: Although Here Comes the Sun audio-filled this post I was actually busting out this picture to the album of one Swedish rock band, Silverbullit. The music soaring through as I clicked, erased, layered the sungrab funk was their 2nd album "Citizen Bird." The first track off the album is Glory.]
